About Me
Hi, my name is Talia Basma.
I love to write, so much so I graduated from the University of California, Davis with a degree in both Creative Writing and Literature. While I enjoy poetry and fantastical stories, my passion is writing contemporary romances with diverse characters that are always Muslim.
When I’m not writing, I’m indulging my homebody self with hobbies like reading, baking, and lettering.
I’m currently working on my debut romance novel centered around one of my favorite tropes–a marriage of convenience.
“My passion is writing romances with diverse characters that are always Muslim.”
How It Began
When I was in 4th grade I fell in love with the Tales of Pixie Hollow book series. Without it, I don’t know if I’d have ever gotten into reading. After that, I would beg my mother to take me to the library so I could get more books. By the 6th grade I’d moved on from the magic of Pixie Hollow and onto the magic of romance.
I couldn’t get enough of the way each story would transport me to a new happy ending. In high school, I took up writing my own love stories and I haven’t stopped since. I hope the stories I write inspire others to find love in the little things and maybe even to fall in love with the magic of words.
